For nearly 15 years, Arts on the Block has provided youth art programs in Montgomery County and most recently Washington, DC. Through apprenticeships, after-school visual arts programs, and community arts intervention, AOB engages young people in projects that inspire and transform.

Carroll Avenue Quebec Terrace, The Community pARTnership, Explore-Create-Connect, and Pour Your ART Out curb gang violence, engage truant middle schoolers, provide paid art-career training, and produce amazing public and private art that enriches our communities. Most importantly, AOB artisans master technique and teamwork as they progress along the artistic career continuum.

Today, more than 150 artworks are installed in government agencies, schools, and businesses around this region. And, just as many AOB apprentices have gone on to become the teachers, graphic artists, architects, and leaders they always knew they could be!

Most AOB programs engage low to mid-income youth in underserved areas of Montgomery County and Washington DC. More than 200 emerging artists, age 12 – 24, benefit socially, academically and professionally from our award-winning programs each year.

Thank you, for helping a talented young artist share their passion in this campaign. And, for helping AOB expand and improve our successful arts programs when we need it most!
