"[Y]ou have some type of knowledge to draw from."
Interview with Ruqayyah
Check out this interview with Ruqayyah, an AOB crew member and aspiring auto mechanic.
What inspired you to pursue this field or career path?
My love for working with my hands and working with my step dad on cars.
What are some highlights and challenges experienced during this pursuit from what you are doing so far?
As someone with a smaller stature, finding different ways to move/lift/loosen something that would be easier for someone bigger is always a challenge.
What are some suggestions you have for someone else who might be interested in joining/ pursuing this career path?
Going through a trade school or some type of community college program, so when you start working in the field you have some type of knowledge to draw from. Also actually having a passion and enjoying it.
