EPIC Awards

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Ten desktop awards were designed, fabricated, personalized and delivered for the EPIC (Excellence in  Programming and Innovative Content) awards event on June 8, 2018 at the Fillmore Theatre in Silver Spring. This new award program is meant to draw visibility to Montgomery Community Media and recognize local excellence in media programming and content. These awards will be produced annually.

Each award was produced as an original mosaic artwork handcrafted by Montgomery County youth apprentice artists under the direction of a teaching artist. Our partners at the Gary Rosenthal Collection provided metal fabrication. While the award design and structure remained constant, no two awards are identical. Each one is signed and dated by the producing artist, and stamped on the bottom by Arts on the Block.
